ASME SA204 Pressure Vessel Sheet

Pressure Vessel Plate made from ASTM A204 (the same as ASME SA-204) steel is typically molybdenum-alloyed and is particularly suitable for welded boilers and other pressure vessels.The grades covered by ASTM A204/ASME SA-204 are all carbon-molybdenum-alloyed steels, with nominal compositions of C-0.5Mo. Plate is available in the following three different strength grades under the standard specification: Grade A, Grade B and Grade C.

A tensile strength of 65-85 ksi gives ASME SA204 Alloy Steel Plate its character: strong potential as a high-strength alloy steel plate. Annealing, normalizing and tempering treatments reduce the plate's brittleness, increase its load-bearing capacity and prevent rust and pitting.
