The production process of titanium seamless pipe is complicated. The productivity and yield of this process are low. Titanium seamless pipe from titanium sponge to pipe, after rolling or drawing, the material waste is larger, the yield is only about 50%, and can not realize large-scale mass production, the production cycle is relatively long.

Titanium welded pipe is produced by automatic continuous production line, using titanium strip with uniform wall thickness, through cold bending, welding, online heat treatment, calibrating and straightening, non-destructive testing, air tightness testing and other processes. From titanium sponge to welded pipe, the material utilization rate is usually around 80%. If titanium strip coil is used as raw material, the material utilization rate is more than 95%. With the rapid development of domestic titanium industry and the maturity of welding technology, the production efficiency of titanium welded pipe will be greatly improved, and the quality stability, consistency and production efficiency will be higher. It can be cut to the required length according to customers' requirements, with short delivery time, high material utilization rate and lower unit cost than seamless pipe.
