Wear Resistant Steel Plates Hardox 450 550

HARDOX 450 is a wear plate with a hardness of 450 HBW for applications requiring wear resistance and good cold bending properties.HARDOX 450 has very good weldability.

Hardox 450 obtains its mechanical properties by hardening and, if necessary, tempering. Properties in the as-delivered condition will not be maintained after use or preheating above 480°F (250°C).

Hardox 550 is a wear plate with a hardness of 550 HBW for applications requiring very high wear resistance Hardox 550 is available in plate thicknesses of 10-50 mm.

HARDOX 550 is a wear plate with a Brinell hardness of 550 and the same toughness as HARDOX 500. It is designed for heavy wear applications and is aimed at users and producers of wear parts using 12% Manganese steel castings or 500 Brinell hardness wear plates. Upgrading from 500 HBW steel to HARDOX 500 provides a 50 Brinell increase in hardness, which extends wear life without compromising crack integrity.
