16Mn hsla steel (also called Q345B low alloy steel) is a low alloy structural steel with good comprehensive mechanical properties, welding performance and low temperature impact toughness, as well as good cold stamping and machinability.
Compared with A3 steel, 16Mn low alloy steel material has only a little more manganese in its composition. In addition to having the same good plasticity and weldability, the yield strength of 16Mn high strength low alloy steel is increased by about 50%, and the atmospheric corrosion resistance is increased by about 20%. --38%, low temperature impact toughness is also superior to A3 steel.
16Mn high strength low alloy is generally used in hot rolling or normalizing conditions. After normalizing, it can improve the plasticity, low temperature impact toughness or cold press forming and other processing properties of the steel.
