API 5L PSL2 X65 steel pipes are alloys of elements such as manganese, phosphorus, sulphur and titanium have high mechanical properties minimum tensile strength of 450 MPA . This makes them stronger than API 5L X60 pipe. In addition API 5L PSL2 X65 Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe is heat treated to provide additional mechanical strength and reduce stiffness.

API 5L X65 line pipe can be hot or cold galvanised. This process makes the pipe resistant to rust/oxidation corrosion. API 5L PSL2 X65 seamless line pipe's ability to resist corrosion and work in high pressure environments makes the pipe ideal for the petroleum, petrochemical, and oil and gas industries for transporting gases, vapours, and liquids.
