When should I use L-type water mains and when should I use M-type water mains?

 

The general rule of thumb is that if you intend to use an L-pipe for water supply in a building, you should use an L-pipe. M-pipe is suitable for all other uses, but is less suitable for water supplies with high water pressure.

 

It is also important to note that L-pipes last longer because they are thicker. If you are using M-type pipes, they will have a very short lifespan and may need to be replaced very soon. Therefore, if you want your pipes to last for a long time, you should choose L pipes over M pipes.

 

Most plumbers recommend using M-pipes for relatively inexpensive heating systems. You can also use L-piping, but it will cost you more.
