Product Description
Most air conditioners use one of two metals, aluminum or copper, for their pipes. Aluminum tubing has been phased out and most modern air conditioners use copper tubing.
Air conditioners have three main components: the evaporative coil, the compressor, and the condenser. The evaporative coil is inside the unit, while the compressor and condenser are outside. Window air conditioners have all the components in one unit.
The air conditioner absorbs heat from the room through the evaporative coil and then cools it through the refrigerant that flows through the evaporative coil. The cooled refrigerant is compressed into a hot liquid and then dissipates most of the heat through the condenser tubing. The refrigerant then passes through a high-pressure valve to return to its original temperature, and the process repeats until the room reaches the desired temperature.
The air conditioning components are connected in a closed loop through aluminum or copper tubing. Poor quality piping can lead to leaks, poor cooling, and excess heat. Copper pipes handle corrosion and oxidation better, which extends the life of your air conditioner. Copper pipes have a lower specific heat capacity and therefore cool faster, while aluminum pipes use more energy and have a lower cooling capacity.
We can also supply Nickel Alloys, Tungsten Alloy, Molybdenum Alloy in any form.
