Product Description

Because copper tubing has excellent formability, it can be formed as needed at the job site. Properly bent copper tubing will not collapse on the outside of the bend, nor will it bend on the inside of the bend. Tests have shown that the burst strength of bent copper tubing is actually higher than before bending.

Because copper tubing is so easy to form, expanding rings and other bends needed in assemblies can be made quickly and easily with the proper methods and equipment. Simple hand tools using mandrels, molds, templates, and fillers or power bending machines are available.

Both annealed and hard-drawn tubing can be bent using an appropriate hand bender. The proper size bender must be used for each size of tube.
