About Alloy Stainless Steel 600
Inconel Alloy Steel Pipe 600 is not recommended for use at red hot temperatures where sulfur is present. The study also found that Inconel Alloy 600 may be susceptible to stress corrosion cracking in hot, concentrated caustics, however, this can be avoided if the fabrication is completely stress-relieved before use. Recommended stress relief temperature is 982-1010 °C for 1 hour for best performance.
