About Alloy Steel Pipe 20

Nickel Alloys 20 contains niobium for stabilization, which enhances its corrosion resistance. The alloy is an iron-based austenitic alloy with excellent corrosion resistance to a variety of media.

Alloy 20 exhibits good resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking due to its higher nickel content. In addition, the alloy also has good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.

In the chemical processing market, the primary applications for Alloy 20 are in sulfuric, phosphoric, and nitric acid environments.

The alloy is also commonly used in the food industry to make food preservatives (phosphorus trichloride and phosphorus trichloride).
