C18150 Copper Chromium Zirconium Rods
C18150 Copper Chromium Zirconium is an excellent and unique copper alloy with high electrical conductivity, hardness and ductility, medium strength, and excellent resistance to softening at high temperatures. Adding 0.1% zirconium (Zr) and 1.0% chromium (Cr) to copper results in a heat-treatable alloy that can be solution treated and subsequently aged to produce these desirable properties.
The addition of zirconium to chromium copper improves creep resistance at high temperatures and reduces electrode adhesion to the workpiece during spot welding of galvanized/coated materials. C18150 is primarily used in electrode applications. Chromium zirconium is a RWMA grade 2 material, which is stronger than RWMA grade 1 material.
