16MO3 is pronounced as sixteen molybdenum three steel plate, which is named according to the content of C (carbon) and Mo (molybdenum), meaning that the carbon content of this steel plate is around 160, while the molybdenum content is around three hundred. 16MO3 belongs to the European standard steel plate.

16MO3 is a pressure vessel steel plate, EN10028-2 designated grade chromium-molybdenum steel alloy for use at elevated working temperatures and is used as a weldable steel in the manufacture of industrial boilers and Stainless Steel pressure vessels in the oil, gas and chemical industries.
