Titanium rods are available in most of the nearly 40 grades, the most common being Grade 5 and Grade 2. The medical field often uses small diameter round rods for body implant fasteners and dental appliances. Rods range from very small diameters for welding all the way up to larger diameters (e.g., 14-inch diameter) for clutches and flywheels.
